Force and Motion Scoot Game

force and motion

This Pull and Push Scoot Game will be an excellent addition to your force and motion unit.  I created it with photos so the examples of the pushes and pulls are something the children can relate to in their daily lives. There are 30  photos for large classes but you don’t have to use them all. You will get recording sheets for 3 different sizes of classes.  Some of the photos show both a push and a pull. The photos create a lot of good discussion. After we scooted we went through the cards and talked about the photos.

I also used the cards for a Mix and Match Game. Each child gets a card and then the kids walk (Mix) around the class..just for a few seconds. Then you ask them to Match. They find something with a like card. For example if you have a push card you find someone else with a push card. The pairs discuss the examples for about 30 seconds. Then you ask them to Mix again and repeat. Mix and Match allows them to see and discuss a variety of pushes and pulls and it is a fun way to learn about force and motion!
