Free STEM Rocket and Engineering Challenge

STEM Paper Rocket

Paper STEM Rockets

These paper rockets are easy to make! I have created a pattern for you, directions for assembling the rocket and a recording sheet. You will get easy to follow directions and specific directions for assembling the rocket.

STEM Challenge

The children will also have a recording sheet for testing the flight of the rocket. They will also be challenged to increase the flight of their rocket!

You can find the lesson here! STEM Paper Rocket

I know your students will enjoy learning with this STEM activity. I have used this activity with third through fifth graders.

Even though I encourage you to try to fly the rockets outside I have done this lesson in the classroom. I had the children do their test flights in small groups calling them by birthday months. You could use groups you have in place like colors or team names.

Learn more about how rockets work with this fun video from National Geographic. This video is perfect for kids in grades 3-5.
